Part time 20 hours

M-F 8:30-12:30

Assist teaching staff to provide quality, comprehensive child development services to homeless children ages 3-5 and their families, enrolled in FIT’s trauma-informed therapeutic preschool program. Job duties include helping to carry out small group activities, maintain classroom, serve meals, provide transportation, monitor students, and help maintain children’s personal hygiene.

Candidate must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Meet one of the following:
  • Have a minimum of 9 Early Childhood credits, including at least one 3 credit course in child growth and development
  • A minimum of 1500 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program.
  • A minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program and documentation of successful completion of a 2 year vocational course
