* * *  | Former CONFR board member, David Snyder, has recently earned the CFRE designation – Certified Fund Raising Executive – the only internationally-recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives. Earning the CFRE demonstrates a desire to reach the highest level of skill, knowledge and ethical practice. David is the Executive Director of the NH Bar Association. CONFR presents a CFRE Study Group series for those interested in applying for their CFRE, which meets monthly for 3 hours over a six-month period. The next group begins in September. Leadership NH CONFR’s Executive Director Pam McDonald and Board Member Deborah Schachter, Senior Program Officer, Statewide Programs at the NH Charitable Foundation, recently graduated with the 2009 class of Leadership New Hampshire. Leadership New Hampshire is a year-long program which allows Associates to explore the issues and challenges which are critical to the state of New Hampshire and to interact with top state officials, judges, educators, prison inmates, students, artists, corporate leaders and others who receive, deliver and/or make decisions and policy that affect services. Three New Members Joined CONFR's Board of Directors at the June Annual Meeting  |  | | Keliane Totten | Tara Mahady | Peter Labombarde | Keliane Totten of Barrington is Marketing Director at Granite Ledges of Concord where she creates, plans and implements marketing based community outreach efforts. In June she received a Masters in Education from Plymouth State University in Health Education and Wellness Management. Tara Mahady of Bow has more than 20 years of experience with development, communications and marketing with nonprofit organizations. She is a partner in Aleuro Solutions, a full-service marketing and development firm, specializing in social media for nonprofit and for-profit businesses. Peter Labombarde of Bedford has nearly 25 years of trust and wealth management experience, most recently as Vice President and Trust Officer/Market Manager for Citizens Bank New Hampshire. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards throughout the state with special emphasis on establishing planned giving programs. 10th Annual Make a Difference Donor Award Michael Salter of Amherst was named the recipient of CONFR’s 10th Annual Make a Difference Donor Award, given to a volunteer of one of CONFR’s member organizations whose acts of generosity, whether monetary or service, large or small, have made a significant difference to a New Hampshire nonprofit organization. Mr. Salter was nominated by Easter Seals of New Hampshire in recognition of establishing a program called Easter Seals Veterans Count, a plan that works in partnership with the New Hampshire National Guard & Reserve and the NH Department of Health and Human Services to create family-focused solutions to address the unique struggles of military families – during pre-deployment, deployment and upon returning home. * * * CONFR’s May 8th Technology Conference - Get Set for High Tech: New Tools to Maximize Your Fundraising Success! - was enjoyed at the Event Center and in Littleton thanks to a live video conference link between Bedford and the North Country.
